Greg Mellor began his study of judo at the age of 10 under long-time Judoka John Mills in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

In 1967, Mellor joined Benny Allen’s Eastern Karate and began training with Benny Allen and Frank Wishart. He received his shodan from Sensei Kim in 1972.


Considered by most Canadians to be the finest example of technique Canada has ever produced, Greg won more then his share of competitions

He has been a full time instructor since the early 1970s and has produced some fine quality students.
